Spirit communication is a dangerous thing and should be left to the professionals. Priests, troldmand, shamans, etc., who do use tools to communicate with spirit know the dangers that exist when doing so and always utilize protection tools. They also know how to identify what it is they are communicating with.
"With thought comes energy..." is part of a statement of fact that many shamans live by. This means that a person can produce energy by just focusing on a thought. For example, communicating with spirits. Also, the more minds that are focusing on it, the more energy produced.
With all of this in mind, I will warn people that Ouija boards can be a dangerous thing. In my practice, I have had more than a few clients that have had bad things happen to them as a result of using one of these "witches boards".
There are those out there who look at the fact that these are sold as games and are no more than that – a game. To that I say this… a baseball bat is sold as sporting goods, but is also the most commonly used household defense weapon – so do we consider it is merely a harmless toy?
With what I mentioned previously about thought and energy, and the popularity of the paranormal – with cases of malevolent hauntings on the rise, can we really consider such a tool a mere toy? I say no.
I for one feel that they are as dangerous (and even more so) than a simple baseball bat, and should not be sold to anyone under the age of 18!
I would like to see this discussion evolve and have people reply with their own experiences with a Ouija board and how they feel they should be used - or not.
